Artist bio:

Ella Yang, a first-generation Korean-American and native New Yorker,
is a mostly self-taught painter based in Brooklyn, New York. She
takes great pleasure in traditional methods of oil painting, especially
working "en plein air," i.e. on site with a portable easel. When not
roaming the streets of Brooklyn or traveling to find painting motifs,
Yang loves working in her studio near the Gowanus Canal in
Brooklyn. Yang shows her work regularly in solo and group
exhibitions in the New York City area. Her paintings are in private
collections in the USA, Hong Kong, Italy, France, and Austria, and in a
number of corporate collections. Three of her paintings were
selected by the Art in Embassies program of the U.S. State
Department to be displayed at the U.S. Embassy in Geneva,
Switzerland, 2014-18. She is honored to be included in the book "100
New York Painters," by C.M. Dantzic, (Schiffer Books, 2006). Yang has
curated and organized art exhibitions in New York City.
