A behind-the-scenes tour of the New England Aquarium's Animal Care Center located on the Fore River in Quincy, MA. This 24,000 sq ft facility is not open to the general public. From sharks to corals to endangered shorebirds, the Animal Care Center serves as both a quarantine and rescue rehab facility as well as a holding spot for animals awaiting display in Boston. 24 rescued sea turtles, 9 baby bonnethead sharks, and a school of cow-nose rays were among the first residents of this new $3.7 million facility. The package includes a comprehensive tour of the Animal Care Center given by a full-time Aquarist and SfS employee, a chance to feed a resident cow-nose ray as well as two passes to the NE Aquarium in Boston.
