Soi Dog Foundation is the largest dog and cat welfare organization in southeast Asia. They have rescued and treated tens of thousands of street animals and have performed over 212,000 sterilizations. Soi Dog is also a leader in the fight against the dog meat trade, having virtually wiped out the industry in Thailand.

Soi Dog Foundation was established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, to provide a humane and sustainable solution to managing the stray dog and cat population and to address their medical needs. The organization's mission is focused on improving the welfare of dogs and cats in Asia, resulting in better lives for both the animal and human communities. Their goal is to create a society without homeless animals and ultimately end animal cruelty. They are currently spaying and neutering over 7,000 animals a month, which is believed to be more than any other organization worldwide. Their shelter, which houses 600 dogs and 200 cats, is the most modern in Asia, and their state-of-the-art dog and cat hospitals provide life-saving treatment to thousands of animals every year.

Soi Dog has expanded their campaign to wipe out the dog meat trade into South Korea, Vietnam, and other Southeast Asian countries where the trade persists. Currently, they are working with the Hanoi city authorities to make the capital of Vietnam dog-meat free within three years. Soi Dog also provides on-the-ground emergency support for animals impacted by natural disasters, has implemented a school education program, and was instrumental in the introduction of Thailand's first animal welfare law.
