6th Season

"I'm so excited to be apart of Ballet Arkansas' 40th Anniversary Season!! I'm looking forward to performing for Arkansas' audiences during our unique and thrilling season ahead!"

Deanna Stanton, from Clarksville, Maryland, is in her sixth season with Ballet Arkansas. Deanna credits her early training to Spotlight Studio of Dance and the Baltimore School for the Arts. She graduated with a BFA in Ballet from the University of Cincinnati - CCM. She was also a Trainee with Ballet West for two seasons. Since joining Ballet Arkansas, she's had the opportunity to perform principal or featured roles in Balanchine's Who Cares?, Gerald Arpino's Birthday Variations, Sleeping Beauty, Paquita, Chris Stuart's Under The Lights, Ilya Kozadayev's (e)Motions, Kiyon Gaines' Study IV, Obscura and Memoryhaus, and Val Caniparoli's Lady of the Camellias. In addition to performing, Deanna has choreographed for The Young Choreographer's Festival, Youth America Grand Prix, and Ballet Arkansas' Youth Division. She created two full-length ballets for Blackbird Academy of Arts. She wants to extend a special thank you to her husband and family for their continued support!
