In 1996, Steve and Linda Sherwin purchased 30 acres at the top of Spring Mountain and began their wine country adventure. In late 1999, Sherwin Family Vineyards released their first wine, a 1996 Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. Since then, the Sherwin's have been hosting wine lovers at their beautiful tasting room overlooking the estate's vineyards and lake while enjoying the peaceful beauty of life on Spring Mountain.

Sherwin Family Vineyards is extremely honored to be the only company in the United States with federal approval to place the image of the American Flag on an alcohol label. Originally designed to honor those lost in the September 11 terror attacks, each bottle in the Patriotic Pour series is adorned with a striking, hand-etched, hand-painted design featuring the American flag and the meaningful words "In God We Trust" and "United We Stand."
