Fogo Island has hundred's of kilometres of trails and paths ideal for hikers, walkers and nature lovers eager to get a peak at the flora and fauna of this maritime, sub-arctic climate. The island is summertime host to hundreds of nesting puffins, a wide array of birds and pods of whales, their breaching backs and tails easily spotted from the windows of the inn. If you like fishing, the island's ponds are teeming with trout. You'll likely catch a glimpse of caribou, foxes, beavers and coyotes who all call Fogo home. With it's premium location right on "Iceberg Alley", icebergs often dot the waters off Fogo from mid-May and the end of June. Absolutely breathtaking!
