This amazing quilt quotes the Legend of the Shamrock. As it states, "Good St. Patrick traveled far to teach God's Holy word, and when it came to Erin's sod a wonderous thing occurred...He picked a shamrock from the earth and held it in his hand to symbolize the Trinity that all might understand...the first leaf for the Father, the second for the Son, and the third leaf for the Holy Spirit- three of them in One"
An original quilt designed for the Rosati-Kain Dinner Auction, designs inspired by Mary Hedigan Brauss Barnhart- '42 and made by Carla Brauss Barnhart - '69.
Quilt number 146.
