The MSR Hubba Hubba NX Solo is MSR's bestselling tent, and for good reason!

This is the 2018, V7 model. Designed for solo backpackers, the freestanding Hubba NX weighs a mere 2 pounds, 7 ounces.

The unique pole configuration of the Hubba NX provides 18 square feet of interior space and a full 36 inches of interior height for maximum livability. Strong and supportive, the DAC Featherlite NFL aluminum poles are extremely lightweight. MSR stakes are included to aid in securing the freestanding Hubba NX. A vestibule offers an additional 9 square feet of protected storage space. If you're looking for even more external storage, consider purchasing the MSR Gear Shed (sold separately) which connects directly to the tent and provides an additional 26.5 square feet of coverage.

Extensive mesh construction keeps weight to a minimum while maximizing ventilation. The Hubba NX is extremely breathable, which increases livability and combats the build-up of condensation on the interior of the tent. In warm, clear weather, you can tie back the exterior door to allow even greater airflow. MSR's StayDry design prevents roof run-off from dripping into the interior of the tent when the fly is open.

The Hubba NX employs taped seams on the bathtub style floor and Durashield coating on the rainfly to prevent leaks. The stress points are reinforced to prevent tear-outs, and the guy lines are reflective to help you find your way back to your tent in the dark.

The MSR Hubba NX Footprint (sold separately) can be used to add durability by protecting the floor of the tent from mud, ground water, and sharp objects like rocks, exposed roots and pine needles. Alternatively, the Hubba NX Fast & Light Body (also sold separately) can be used instead of the footprint to provide the same underneath protection but extend coverage further with short sidewall sections that fend off wind and splattering rain. Either of these accessories enables you to leave the tent body behind (when conditions allow) and use just the poles, fly, and footprint or Fast & Light Body to pitch the tent as a minimalist freestanding shelter.
