20 x 20 Hamilton Photography, Oil and Encaustic on Wood.
Besides being a founding father of the United States, Hamilton inspired artist, Christy Harris, because of his outspokenness, passion for Federal government to protect the people, his brilliant mind in creating our country's financial system, his unusual intelligence as a child, his self-made success from poverty, and essentially his gumption. These factors inspired Harris to create a "The Federalist" to honor Hamilton and his remarkable life.
The collage includes the cover and text from a few Hamilton authored chapters Introduction and Conclusion, of the Federalist Papers. Also, there is a reference to the ten dollar bill that features Hamilton's younger portrait, a likeness of an older Hamilton, the nation's first bank that Hamilton was instrumental in creating. Also, there are nods to his famous signature from The Constitution and the iconic logo from the groundbreaking Broadway play.
