The $300 buy-in (with $100 rebuys and $100 add-ons) CSOP Event 18, dubbed Knights of the Poker Table, will take place on "the Mezz" at Planet Hollywood.
The tournament coincides with the conclusion of the Las Vegas Golden Knights game at the Los Angeles Kings (game is at 1 p.m. PT). Beforehand, there will be a Vegas Golden Knights Official Watch Party at Noon at Planet Hollywood. Both events will feature special appearances by Chance, the Golden Aces, Knight Line Presented by Drumbots, and the Golden Knight. Those in attendance at the watch party will have free chances to win a variety of Vegas Golden Knights prizes.
The Knights of the Poker Table charity event will begin with an open bar reception and appetizers from 3:00-4:30 p.m. PT. Complimentary drinks will continue to be served throughout the tournament, which will begin at 4:30 p.m. PT and award a $10,000 2019 WSOP Main Event seat to the winner. There will be VGK prizes available at the Final Table and in the Silent Auction, 10 Bounty Prizes on certain Featured Guests, and $1,000 cash bonuses for the Rebuy Leader and Chip Leader!
Die-hard Golden Knights fan Daniel Negreanu will emcee the charity event, while a slew of other poker personalities slated to attend includes reigning WSOP Main Event champ John Cynn, Matt Savage, Anthony Zinno, Jo Kim, Lexy Gavin, Jamie Kerstetter, Lacey Jones, Jeff Madsen, Courtney Hamilton, Chris Wallace, Chip & Karina Jett, and Ryan Leng. Hollywood producer Randall Emmett as well as veteran actor and stuntman Kane Hodder (he played Jason Voorhees in four of the Friday the 13th movies) will be in attendance. More players are confirming by the day.
All net proceeds from the event will benefit the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, which focuses its support on five giving priorities:
- Fostering the physical, social, and emotional growth of Las Vegas youth, with an emphasis on sports.
- Making sustainable, scalable positive impact on health and wellness through research, education, and prevention.
- Enhancing teaching and learning through K-12 public school programs and initiatives designed to develop leadership and promote community service.
- Securing the future of Las Vegas military, first responders, and their families, especially those who have suffered a sacrifice for the greater good.
- Fighting hunger and homelessness in the Las Vegas community by addressing their root causes.
"I'm a lifelong hockey player and die-hard hockey fan who was already a Golden Knights season ticket member when the team came to me and asked me to run their charity poker events," said CSOP Founder Matt Stout. "I was absolutely blown away and am honored to be entrusted with organizing events that bring fans, poker players, and our hockey team closer together while playing the game we all love for a great cause. It combines everything I'm passionate about and this event marks a huge milestone for me in my non-profit career. I'm incredibly grateful to not only the Knights but every person who has helped me make CSOP what it is behind the scenes and on the felt."
