The axis deer, native to India but now wild in Texas, should be on every deer hunter's bucket list as they are beautiful, wily and perhaps the best eating of the deer species. Join TRCP's chairman, Rod Nelson, on his lease in Texas for three nights and two days of free range axis deer hunting. From your basecamp in Kerrville, two hunters will travel to Roosevelt, Texas, where you will camp along the banks of a tributary to the Llano River. With Rod as your head guide, you will hunt from blinds or stalk the axis deer and the wild pigs that roam the 1,100+ acre property. You'll return to camp for home cooked wild game meals prepared by TRCP president and CEO (and assistant guide) Whit Fosburgh. If dates chosen overlap with spring turkey season, Rio Grande Turkeys can also be hunted.

Included: All food, libations and travel from Kerrville to Roosevelt and back, and guiding. Tents, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads also included. Firearms are provided or you may bring your own.

Restrictions: Valid from January-April, 2020. Not included: Travel to and from Kerrville, hunting licenses, meat processing and shipping.

Value: Priceless
