The hunt of a lifetime! You and a friend will be flown to Colorado's San Juan Mountains to spend four nights and three days rifle hunting elk hosted by award-winning author and host of MeatEater, Steven Rinella. Two non-hunting guests will fly fish on the blue-ribbon San Juan River and its tributaries with Whit Fosburgh, president and CEO of TRCP and former member of Team USA at the World Fly Fishing Championships.

The location of the hunt is a 2,500-acre private ranch abutting the San Juan National Forest. The elk herd in the San Juan Mountains is thriving, numbering nearly 20,000 animals, with elk commonly scoring between 240-320. The hunt will occur during Colorado's second rifle season (October 19-27, 2019). But don't mind the second season, as you will be the first rifle hunters of the year, ensuring good elk hunting.

After hunting and fishing, you will return to a spectacular five bedroom mountain home that includes all the amenities. Meals will feature wild game from Colorado, and Steven Rinella will prepare a wild game meal from his new MeatEater Fish & Game Cookbook. A first-class wine cellar will fuel the hunting and conservation stories around the long table.
