Chef Andre Rush is a freelance White House chef who is a master ice carver, sommelier, pastry chef, chocolatier and sugar sculptor, among other specialties. He's been cooking for high-profile figures since 1997.

The Mississippi native is also a combat veteran who retired as a master sergeant after 24 years in the United States Army. During his career, he worked for many leaders including three U.S. Presidents, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Secretary of the Army, Chief of Staff, and Superintendents of the United States Military Academy (West Point).

In his capacity at West Point, Chef Rush was the senior aide and advisor, chef, and security detail assigned and protocol liaison. He planned, prepared and served social functions to thousands of high-ranking foreign and domestic dignitaries, both civilian and military, and was responsible for training, performance and welfare of dedicated personnel.

In additional to his vast cooking expertise, Chef Rush is a keynote and motivational speaker, advocate for the military and wounded warriors, a global goodwill ambassador, and a humanitarian. Chef Rush is also an upcoming author and currently developing his consumer-driven brand, which will include edible, health/wellness/fitness products, apparel and more. In late 2018, Chef Rush announced a deal to produce an upcoming television show called "Chef in the City." This unique concept on location cooking show will have acclaimed Chef Rush take the audience on adventures across the United States, visiting restaurants, first responder units, children's hospitals, local community centers, military bases, and more.

Chef Rush became an instant internet celebrity in June 2018 for his now famous biceps, after the White House tweeted out a picture of the Chef preparing a dinner for President Trump. Chef Rush does 2,222 push-ups every weekday as a part of the #22PushupChallenge to raise awareness of the estimated 22 military veterans who die from suicide every day. Because of this devotion to physical fitness, Chef Rush's biceps measure in at a staggering 24 inches.

Chef Rush has made appearances on The Rachel Ray Show, CBS' Eye On Veterans with Eric Dehm, Good Morning America, Inside Edition, and TMZ.
