This auction item is good for one trip via automobile up to the highest point in the state of Hawai'i.

Mike Last '64 will drive the winning bidder and company (up to 6 individuals total) for a tour of a lifetime. He will pick up on the island of Hawaii (the Big Island) and travel to the Mauna Kea visitor's center at 9200' to become acclimated to the high altitude. Once acclimated - the winning bidder will continue up, up and up to the Mauna Kea summit at 13,700'. There you will have a beautiful view of everything below.

While on the tour visitors may:

Explore the telescope building for a presentation on the operation of the viewing apparatus.
Hike the remaining few steps to the actual summit- 13,761'.
On the way down from the mountain you will again stop at the visitor's center to view the stars, constellations, planets, etc.

This tour will last approximately from 10:00AM - 10:00PM

Depending on the season, warm weather jackets are suggested.

The tour guide will accommodate the winning bidder's schedule.
