Artist: Tikva Lantigua

Medium: Collagraph

Size: 10" x 14"

Tikva Lantigua is a visual artist with a writing practice, forever obsessed with print and the subjectivity of materials- their associations, languages, the way we build and are in turn built from our materials and constraints. She has a strong love of experimental approaches to print, and has built out a silkscreen studio in her basement. Currently teaching by day at Kennesaw State University, making art by night.

Born to Dominican parents and brought up in the American South - from one army base to another - Tikva earned an MFA in Print Media from Cranbrook Academy of Art (2016) with an emphasis on expanded media, following a strong education in Printmaking from Savannah College of Art and Design, Atlanta (2013). Her first solo exhibition, Motherlode, debuted at Day & Night Projects, Atlanta, GA, in September 2020 during a global lockdown. Refraction Error opened as a solo show in a generous upper-story gallery at Callanwolde Arts Center in Fall of 2023. She has participated in group shows in Chicago, Texas, Michigan, Puerto Rico, New York and locally in Georgia, among others. Tikva continues living and making in Atlanta, GA (adopted hometown).
