This icon is hand-painted on canvas and set against a luminous gold background, a traditional symbol of the divine light and heavenly glory that permeate sacred iconography. Created in accordance with the style, tradition, and artistic standards of the Macedonian School of Mount Athos (Agion Oros), it faithfully reflects the rich spiritual heritage of Eastern Christian iconography.
The image depicts a portion of the revered Panagia Ierosolymitissa, or "The All-Holy Lady of Jerusalem," one of the most beloved Marian icons in the Christian world. The title Panagia means "All-Holy" and expresses the Church's deep veneration of the Blessed Virgin Mary as the Mother of God and intercessor for all the faithful.

The original wonderworking icon dates to 1870 and is traditionally enshrined at the Tomb of the Virgin Mary in Gethsemane, Jerusalem. For generations, pilgrims from around the world have visited this sacred site to seek the intercession of the Mother of God, offering prayers for healing, protection, and spiritual consolation. The icon is especially cherished for its association with countless testimonies of Grace and answered prayer.

Painted with prayer and reverence, this icon follows the ancient tradition in which icons serve not merely as religious artwork, but as "windows into heaven," inviting contemplation and drawing the faithful into deeper communion with God. Every element, from the composition to the colors and symbolism, is intended to inspire prayer and reflect the sacred mystery it portrays.

This sacred artwork has been blessed in the Holy Land, making it a beautiful devotional piece and a meaningful reminder of the Christian presence and spiritual heritage of Jerusalem, the city sanctified by the life, death, and resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
