Summer does not have to end, with this basket of peach goodies you can keep the joy of Summer lasting well into the Fall.
- Peach Jam is a sweet fruit preserve made by cooking ripe peaches with sugar and lemon. It is sweet, juicy, and naturally floral with the rich, sun-ripened taste of fresh peaches. Pairs well with toast, biscuits, scones, and English muffins; Yogurt, oatmeal, and pancakes; cheesecake, ice cream, and vanilla cake; soft cheeses such as brie or goat cheese; and a filing for pastries, thumbprint cookies or layer cakes
- Spicy Peach Jam - Sweet-and-Savory fruit spread made from ripe, juicy peaches balanced with a gentle kick of chili or other peppers. It typically has a bright peach flavor, warm heat, a jammy sweetness and some savory notes. It is especially good with cheese and crackers, roasted or grilled meats, sandwiches, biscuits, or as a glaze. The appeal is the contrast between the peach's fruity sweetness and the pepper's heat.
- Peach Butter - A smooth, rich fruit spread made by slowly cooking ripe peaches until they become thick, silky, and concentrated in flavor It is intensely peachy, naturally sweet with a gentle tang. Despite the name, it contains no butter but is velvety and spreadable. Peach butter is delicious on toast, biscuits, pancakes, oatmeal, or stirred into yogurt and baked goods.
- Pickled Peaches - Ripe peaches preserved in a sweet-tangy pickling brine, creating a delicious contract between juicy fruit, bright acidity, and subtle spice. They're excellent alongside roasted pork, ham, barbecue, charcuterie, salads, or cheese. It can add a bright, unexpected twist to sandwiches and appetizers, and is even delicious as an ice cream topping.
- Peach Mostardo - A bold Italian-style condiment made with peaches and mustard, combining fruity sweetness with a sharp, aromatic mustard heat. It's especially delicious with aged cheeses, charcuterie, roasted pork, grilled meats, and sandwiches. Think of it as a more complex, fruit-forward cousin of mustard or chutney-sweet enough to complement cheese, but sharp enough to cut through rich foods.
- Peach Berry Jam - A bright, fruity, sweet-tart preserve combining the juicy sweetness of ripe peaches with the deeper, slightly tangy flavor of blueberries. It's delicious on toast, biscuits, pancakes, yogurt, oatmeal, or pastries, and can also pair beautifully with brie, goat cheese, or a mild cream cheese.
