A Kidney for Marni: The Gift of Life
Marni Luther is a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life has been profoundly impacted by Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), a hereditary disease that has affected generations of her family.
Today, Marni is in need of a life-saving kidney transplant.
For Marni and her family, kidney disease is deeply personal. They understand both the devastating impact of kidney failure and the extraordinary hope that transplantation can bring. Now, Marni is waiting for someone willing to consider giving one of the greatest gifts a person can give: the Gift of Life.
Living kidney donation offers Marni the opportunity not simply for a transplant, but for more time doing what matters most: being present with the people she loves, watching her family grow, celebrating milestones, and continuing to live a full and meaningful life.
You do not have to be a perfect match to begin the conversation. Through living donation and paired exchange programs, there may be multiple pathways to help Marni receive the kidney she needs.
