My name is Natasha Sosnova. I am a Ukrainian-born artist living in the Chicago area, a former nurse of more than twenty years, a mother, and someone who has always believed that beauty is not decoration-it is a form of care.

I came to the United States alone at twenty. My mother is a Petrykivka painter-a traditional Ukrainian decorative art form recognized by UNESCO-and a recipient of the title Artist of Ukraine. I grew up in her studio, absorbing what it means to make things before I ever made anything myself.

I spent over two decades as a nurse, much of that time in hospice and wound care. I cared for people at the end of life and supported their families through some of the most difficult moments they would ever face. That work changed how I see everything. I learned that the spaces people inhabit during hard moments are never neutral. What surrounds us affects us. I have never stopped believing that.

I began making my own work in 2025. Within my first year as a professional artist, I exhibited at Artexpo New York and Art Santa Fe-two major international art fairs.

What I create is unlike anything most people have seen before. My work is not decoration-it is an experience. Each piece is built from layers of Venetian plaster, resin, metallic leaf, hand-sculpted clay, and freehand linework drawn without pattern or template. The surface shifts as light moves across it, changing its appearance from morning to evening and revealing details that were invisible a moment before. Every piece carries meaning-words and mantras are embedded into the work, sometimes visible, sometimes hidden-because I believe what we live with shapes who we become.

I create art for people who understand that what surrounds them matters. My vision is to create work that transforms the experience of a space-bringing beauty, strength, peace, and a sense of presence into homes, workplaces, hospitality environments, and public spaces. I don't create art simply to decorate walls; I create immersive experiences that change how a room feels.

My brand is Energy with Natasha. Tagline: Cherish Yourself.
