A one of a kind piece by Nancy Clark, Reunion #1 is currently featured in the Sacred Circle Gallery in her exhibit, Past-Present-Future. An enrolled Blackfeet artist, Nancy Clark dedicates her work to honoring the history of her family, especially her late husband Ronald H. Clark who advocated for Native American Civil Rights throughout his career. Reunion #1 is an archival print of an acrylic gouache painting. Her are her words of its meaning: "Reunions can be as simple as a few friends or relatives getting together after a period of separation or a large social gathering attended by members of a certain group who have not seen each other for a few years. With Reunion #1, I was thinking about all the American Indians and other people who gather throughout the U.S.A. for powwows within cities both large and small. The buildings represent the present, the tipis the reunions, and the eagle feathers the future."
Auction winner will receive the painting once the gallery closes her exhibit on October 15th.
