Kim Breed is a retired Master Sergeant from the 5th Special Forces Group (Green Berets), a custom knife maker, and a longtime field editor and tactical blade tester for Blade Magazine. Drawing on nearly two decades of military service that included combat deployments, he operates Breed Custom Knives in Clarksville, Tennessee, creating hand-forged tactical, survival, and everyday-carry blades known for practical design, durability, and real-world performance. He has also collaborated with production makers and is recognized for his rigorous testing and writing in the industry.
This knife was made by Breed specifically for auction in support of Charlie Daniels' The Journey Home Project, a nonprofit dedicated to helping veterans and heroes successfully return, rehabilitate, and reintegrate into civilian life. It reflects both his craftsmanship and his ongoing commitment to the military community he served.
