Add a beautiful piece of Greek cultural heritage to your collection with The Bride by George Tatakis. This signed fine-art photographic print, measuring 20 x 30 cm, is an archival pigment print capturing a radiant bride during a traditional wedding in Diafani, the port of Olympos on Karpathos Island, Greece. She stands surrounded by bridesmaids in traditional attire, creating a striking celebration of Greek tradition and identity.
The photograph is part of Tatakis's acclaimed Caryatis project, a long-term photographic study of women wearing traditional local dress across Greece, photographed in their places of origin. Based in Athens, Tatakis's work has been exhibited and published internationally, including at the Benaki Museum and in National Geographic and The New York Times. Caryatis is set to be published as a book in 2026.
