Wonder of the Sea

Bring the wonder of the sea into your home with Moonlight Octopus, a canvas print by Northern Arapaho artist Shana Yellow Calf. A PNW favorite, this striking octopus design honors Seattle's maritime history and its longtime folklore of a mystical creature that lives just below the surface of the sea.

A celebrated artist, Shana Yellow Calf is known to incorporate vibrant colors that depict stories of her youth orally passed down by her ancestors. Her work is featured in Seattle's Soil Gallery and Sacred Circle Gallery, and the Washington State History Museum. She was also commissioned to create a multi-medium piece for the new Redmond Senior & Community Center which opened in May 2024. Yellow Calf has twice been invited to show her work at the Montana Folk Festival and the Santa Fe Indian Market in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

This custom-framed print makes a memorable addition to any art collection and supports Gift of Adoption's work to support children in vulnerable circumstances.

Package value: $250
