A Grand Italian Red from an Exceptional Vintage

1999 Masi "Mazzano" Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 750 ml | Veneto, Italy

Raise a glass, and your paddle, for this beautifully mature Italian classic from one of Amarone's most respected producers.

Mazzano is Masi's prestigious single-vineyard Amarone: a powerful, age-worthy wine created through the traditional appassimento process, in which carefully selected grapes are dried to concentrate their flavor and character.

The celebrated 1999 vintage earned 95 points and a "Highly Recommended" designation from Wine Spectator, which praised its complexity, spicy fruit, freshness, and long mineral finish. Expect a rich, full-bodied wine with beautifully developed notes of dried cherry, prune, earthy herbs, warm spices, dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, and anise.

At more than 25 years old, this distinctive bottle offers a wonderful opportunity for the serious wine enthusiast, or anyone ready to make an ordinary dinner feel magnificently Italian.
