About the Artist

"I fabricate my jewelry in gold-filled bi-metal, fine silver, sterling silver, copper, bronze, brass, steel and mixed media. A small amount of my work contains cast elements. I also include jewelry made with multiple processes of enameling, and some jewelry is decorated with 24K gold by the Korean keum boo method. My work tends to be botanical in nature especially featuring ginkgo leaves and other leaves found typically in my state of Arkansas. At the same time, I have recently been making work focused on abstract patterns - to stretch my brain! I have also come to think that making and selling a piece of jewelry creates a collaboration with the person who wears it because the symbolism and context of any piece of jewelry ultimately lies with that person. The wearer has the unique opportunity to choose their own meaning and I have the pleasure of contributing to that process!"
