Own an exceptionally rare bottle of W.L. Weller Full Proof (114 Proof) from a privately selected single barrel that will never be available at retail. Last year, Julian P. Van Winkle III (Zeta-Randolph-Macon '70), his son Preston, and his three sons-in-law blind-tasted five randomly selected barrels-sampling each at both barrel proof and the final bottling proof-to choose the finest of the group.

"Last year, my son Preston, my three sons-in-law, and I hand-selected a single barrel of W.L. Weller, aged about seven years, from a lineup of five randomly chosen barrels. We blind-tasted whiskey samples from each, both at barrel proof and at the final bottling proof of 114, to ensure a fair and authentic selection.
From that process, we chose one exceptional barrel-the best of the five-and just 216 bottles were filled from it. Each bottle received a custom sticker featuring a silhouette of my grandfather, Pappy, playing golf alongside his dog, Thunder, who is shown carrying his golf bag. The image is adapted from the photo that appears on the back label of our 20-year Pappy Van Winkle bottle."

None of these bottles were sold to retailers. Instead, they were reserved exclusively for the five family members involved in the selection to share with friends, family, and a select few charitable organizations. As a finishing touch, every bottle is personally signed by Julian Van Winkle III, making this an extraordinary collectible for bourbon enthusiasts and Van Winkle fans alike.
