Get an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour at the Yale University Art Gallery - followed by lunch at the famed private club, Mory's!

The winning bidder will receive a private tour of Yale's extraordinary American fine art collection for up to six (6) people hosted by Mark D. Mitchell, the Holcombe T. Green Curator of American Paintings and Sculpture.

The Gallery's American Art Collection has been among the best in the country since the museum's founding in 1832 by the landmark gift of paintings of the American Revolution by John Trumbull. Highlights include early masterworks by Benjamin West and John Singleton Copely, marvelous landscapes by Thomas Cole, Frederic Church, and Albert Bierstadt, canonical realism by Thomas Eakins and Winslow Homer, and modernist gems by Georgia O'Keefe, Edward Hopper, and more.

The winner will also receive a copy of Dr. Mitchell's gorgeous coffee table book, The Dance of Life: Figure and Imagination in American Art, 1876-1917.

Following the tour, relax over lunch at Mory's -- a Yale tradition since 1849, located in the heart of Yale University. Winner receives a $250 gift certificate; no expiration date. Advance reservations required.

Tour limited to six (6) guests. Tour to be held at a mutually agreed upon day and time during regular museum hours, Tuesday-Friday. Must be reserved at least two weeks in advance.
