Deborah Forman works in mixed media and digital art. In her art, she explores and interprets a concept or idea to create an image that is an expression of the world around her, which she sees as her new reality. In her mixed-media work, along with the painted surface, she incorporates elements from everyday life to form mostly abstract images. Always focusing on space, shape, color, and rhythm, she finds in her digital art, this is particularly important to enhance her photographs to transform them into a resonating vision. She had a one-person show at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in 2013 and her art is in the collection of that museum as well as in numerous private collections. In addition to a number of group shows she has been included in, she has had solo shows at Miller White Fine Arts in South Dennis in 2021 and at Tao Water Art Gallery in West Barnstable in 2019. She is represented by Miller White Fine Arts in South Dennis and has exhibited her work in Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey, and Cape Cod. Internationally, she was part of a group exhibit in Osaka, Japan, and was represented by Galerie Nouchine in Beaulieu-sur-Mer in France. She studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Philadelphia Museum School of Art, and has a degree in journalism from Temple University.
