The Morning Collection

Handcrafted Ceramic Gift Set by Dr. David Kalish

The potter arranged the pieces side by side.

A mug.

A canister.

A pitcher.

Individually, each was beautiful.

Together, they told a story.

The soft blue of a clear morning sky. The gentle green of new spring leaves. Colors that seem to belong together because nature paired them long ago.

Some collections are assembled.

Others evolve naturally.

This one feels as though it was always meant to be.

Handcrafted by Dr. David Kalish, a talented ceramic artist and member of the Middle Georgia State University Foundation Board of Trustees, this coordinated ceramic set celebrates both artistry and everyday living. Each piece bears the subtle variations, hand-applied glazes, and distinctive character that can only come from the hands of a skilled craftsman.

The light blue mug transforms an ordinary cup of coffee into a daily ritual. The matching light blue canister, complete with lid, offers both beauty and utility while safeguarding life's small essentials. Completing the collection is a medium-sized pitcher adorned in complementary shades of light blue and green, perfect for serving beverages, displaying flowers, or adding a touch of handcrafted elegance to any room.

Placed together, the pieces create a harmonious collection that is at once practical, decorative, and unmistakably unique.

The sort of collection that invites use rather than storage.

Because the finest handcrafted pieces become part of everyday life.
