The Humble Stable

"Nativity" Wood Carving by Alirio Palacio
Generously Donated by Mr. Dennis Brown

The carver began with a single block of wood.

No paint.

No ornamentation.

Just grain, texture, and the patient touch of an artist's hands.

From that simplicity emerged one of history's most enduring stories.

For centuries, artists have returned to the Nativity, finding new ways to portray a timeless moment of hope, wonder, and faith. Each interpretation is unique, yet the message remains unchanged.

"Nativity" by Alirio Palacio captures that spirit through the warmth and authenticity of hand-carved wood. Measuring 11 inches high by 16 inches wide, this beautiful creche presents the familiar scene with a sense of reverence and craftsmanship that invites quiet reflection.

The natural beauty of the wood enhances the artwork's character. Every contour, carving mark, and subtle variation serves as a reminder that meaningful works of art are not manufactured.

They are created.

Displayed during the Christmas season or throughout the year, this piece brings both artistic elegance and spiritual significance to a home, office, or place of devotion.

Some decorations mark a season.

Others express a tradition.

This one does both.
