These earrings are made using a mix of Northern Cheyenne and Metis styles, techniques, patterns, and colors. The patterns and colors used in Northern Cheyenne beadwork are deeply meaningful. Some colors share meanings, like yellow and orange, for the sun. Some colors have multiple meanings, like blue, which represents the sky and water. Red represents the earth, and white represents purity and new life.

Native beadwork is far more than a craft; it is a sacred art form rooted in generations of tradition, identity, and storytelling. Beadwork is a living expression of culture, spirituality, and connection to the land. When done with respect, education, and proper intention, sharing and wearing Native beadwork can be an act of cultural appreciation, not appropriation. You are also supporting Indigenous artists by purchasing their authentic art, remembering the artist's name, and crediting their work.

She also grew up on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in eastern Montana, where she was taught beading by her Auntie, who is a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe, and a descendant of Chief Spotted Wolf.
