Grand Canyon Native Trails

The winner of this package will receive a hiking experience on the Navajo Nation Grand Canyon East Rim for four (4) people. You will enjoy an all day experience with Navaho guides learning about Navajo culture & history in the area, the Colorado river and Grand Canyon. The experience starts with a 1 Hour drive and then a 3.5 mile hike along the rim, finishing with a meal at the edge.

We are Jalen and Alicia, Owners, guides and parents of 3 girls, 2 boys and 2 dogs. We welcome you to join our family on a hike in our backyard, the East Rim of the Grand Canyon. Learn about Alicia's family history in this area of the Navajo Nation, who have lived here for many generations. We share many stories about our Navajo culture. You'll see plants and wildlife up close and learn how Navajo People lived off the land. Come get to know our family and Culture.

Restrictions:

• Guests must be able to walk on their own and navigate uneven dirt, gravel and rocks.
• Class 2 hiking trail - has sections not clearly marked. There's a chance you'll need to use your hands for extra balance.
• The unsteadiness of a Class 2 trail often comes from the need to traverse over small loose rock called scree, or larger, semi-loose rock fields talus.
