Experience a Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concert from a perspective few audience members ever see.

The winning bidder and one guest will join PSO Recording Engineer Harold Chambers in the recording booth backstage at Heinz Hall during an eligible BNY Classics concert.

Guests will see firsthand the equipment, preparation, and technical expertise involved in capturing a live orchestral performance for future broadcast. They will also hear backstage communications as the production team makes final adjustments and have an opportunity to ask questions about the recording process.

This experience includes:

• Behind-the-scenes recording booth access for two guests
• Opportunity to observe the recording of a live PSO performance
• Conversation with PSO Recording Engineer Harold Chambers
• Insight into the equipment and process used to capture the Orchestra for broadcast

Restrictions and scheduling:

• Advance scheduling is required through the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Development Department
• Valid for an eligible BNY Classics concert weekend when Music Director Manfred Honeck is not conducting
• Concert selection is subject to the Orchestra's performance and recording schedule
• Guests must follow all backstage and recording-booth instructions
• Additional scheduling and participation restrictions may apply
