Rebecca Meloy's visual voice is innately strong supporting the environment. Works from the 'Regenerative Energy: Water, Land, Trees, Sun' series are paintings that embrace priority habitats. Diversity of shorelines and lowlands create living environments for wildlife. In the Skagit County, many water loving birds. These moist havens are transition zones for communities, growing wild food, and providing protection for wildlife. Rebecca Meloy's land based art is influenced by her Scandinavian heritage from Finnish farmers, Swedish ministers, and pioneer Norwegians who emigrated and homestead in the Minnesota Boundary Waters. Born in the north woods she grew on a small Oregon farm. She has lived in Bellingham Washington for 46 years.
