Behind the Bridge: An Exclusive Walkway History Tour & Toast
See the Walkway Over the Hudson through a whole new lens with this exclusive private experience led by expert Walkway docent Shirley Rinaldi!

Go beyond the spectacular views and discover the stories that most visitors never hear. Shirley will take your group on a fascinating journey through the Walkway's rich history, sharing little-known local facts, intriguing stories, hidden details, and behind-the-scenes insights that bring this iconic Hudson Valley landmark to life.

This isn't your typical Walkway visit-it's a chance to experience the bridge with someone who knows its history inside and out and can point out the details you might otherwise walk right past.

Want to make the experience accessible for everyone in your group? You can add the Walkway tram to your private tour, making it possible for guests with mobility challenges to comfortably join the experience and enjoy the history, views, and celebration together.

After your private tour, raise a glass with a champagne toast on the Walkway, surrounded by sweeping views of the Hudson River and Hudson Highlands. And to commemorate your special experience, each guest will receive exclusive Walkway swag to take home.

This unique experience is perfect for:

Parents visiting children at local colleges who want to explore the Hudson Valley together
Prospective college students and families looking for a memorable local experience while touring area campuses
Out-of-town guests who want to discover the history behind one of the Hudson Valley's most iconic landmarks
Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and other milestones
Friends, families, and history buffs looking for a one-of-a-kind local experience
Come for the views, stay for the stories, and leave with a little more Hudson Valley history-and a Walkway souvenir to remember it by.

A private tour. Fascinating local history. A champagne toast. Exclusive Walkway swag. And the option to add the tram so everyone can be part of the experience.
