Originally designed by renowned architect Edmund B. Ault and opened in the 1960s, the course was rescued and revitalized in 2006 when the Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation acquired the property and undertook an extensive renovation - completed in 2008 under the direction of Ault's son, Brian. The result is a course that stays faithful to its classic roots while offering rebuilt greens, tee boxes, and practice facilities for today's golfers.

Golfers will enjoy tree-lined fairways and large, undulating, well-bunkered greens throughout the round - a fair but engaging challenge for players of all abilities. The course opens and closes with two memorable long holes: a 535-yard par-5 first with out-of-bounds along the left, and a 536-yard 17th with a demanding tee shot guarded by trees on the right. A full driving range, putting green, pro shop, and snack bar round out the experience.
