Architectural Series -- House by Judi Elliot

Australian glass pioneer Judi Elliott has spent decades demonstrating how color, pattern, architecture, and landscape can be distilled into glass. This wall-mounted work is quintessential Elliott: an intensely saturated blue field surrounds a compact, house-like arrangement of vivid reds, yellows, purples, greens, white, and black. Its corrugated edge gives the glass an unexpected textile or architectural quality.

Born in 1934, Elliott has been an important figure in Australian contemporary glass and an influential model for generations of women artists. Her work is held in major Australian collections including the National Gallery of Victoria. The timing of this auction makes the piece especially meaningful: in 2026, Wagga Wagga Art Gallery is presenting Look Straight Ahead, a major exhibition celebrating Elliott's career and her lasting influence on Australian glass.

Bold enough to animate a room yet compact enough to live easily on a wall, this is an opportunity to collect a genuine piece of contemporary glass history.

Dimensions (in. WxHxD): 20 x 20 x 1
