JILL NAHRSTEDT (b. 1977, Omaha, NE) is a Chicago-based artist whose paintings, screen prints, and mixed media works beg a perspective shift through investigations of mark-making and visual record-keeping with nature as a regular muse. Solo exhibitions of Nahrstedt's work have been presented at Harold Washington Library Center, Chicago, and Picnic Wine and Provisions Gallery. Her work has been selected for juried exhibitions, including at Bemis Center's 2025 Benefit Art Auction Exhibition, The Art Center Highland Park, and Arc Studios and Gallery in San Francisco. Nahrstedt has participated in artist residencies, including most recently at Lakeside Inn, and has completed commissioned projects for local and national businesses. Her work is held in numerous private collections internationally. Nahrstedt received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and MEd from DePaul University, and is an active member of Spudnik Printing Press and Rise and Repaint Network.
