TREVOR AMERY (b. 1983, New York) lives and works in San Diego as an artist, educator, designer, and fabricator. As a sculptor and maker, he creates artworks about geologic processes as personal and social metaphors, obscure moments, and ideas of play. He received a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, an MFA from the University of California, San Diego, and attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2013. He is a recipient of a Fulbright fellowship to Hungary and the Santo Foundation Individual Artist Award. He also participated in residencies at Fountainhead, DNA Artist Residency through Freight + Volume Gallery, Teton Artlab, and Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. Amery received public art commissions from the City of San Diego and the NTC Foundation. He has exhibited at various venues, including the Jackson Hole Center for the Arts, Skanzen Museum, the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, OPaF (Other Places Art Fair), and San Diego Central Library.
