Pick Your Own Barrel: A Private Bourbon Experience on the Mississippi River

Single Barrel Selection, Private Chef's Dinner & Overnight Stay at the Ingram Distillery | Columbus, Kentucky

For the true bourbon lover, this is a rare chance to go home with a barrel that's entirely your own. Bring yourself and up to four other couples to the banks of the Mississippi River in Columbus, Kentucky, home of The Ingram Distillery and the original floating barrelhouses.

In the 1800s, distillers shipped their bourbon by river to reach new markets, and they discovered something along the way: the time barrels spent on the water made the whiskey better. The Ingram family has worked the river for five generations, and founder Hank Ingram put that knowledge to work. He ages his barrels completely on floating barrelhouses, where the river's microclimate and its dramatic rise and fall create a complexity and character that no traditional rickhouse can match.

Your visit begins with a guided tour of the distillery and barge barrelhouse, followed by a tasting of five unique O.H. Ingram River Aged Bourbon samples pulled straight from the barrel. Your favorite barrel will then be bottled at cask strength and will be yours to take home. As evening settles over the river, a private chef will prepare dinner just for your group before you retire for the evening at the onsite lodge overlooking the water.

Barrel yield varies but expect between 150 to 180 bottles. Allow up to 8 weeks for bottling. The Ingram team will coordinate all details including final pickup or delivery. You'll be pouring your pick for years to come and telling the story with every glass.
