Air and water temperatures in this part of the Bay are typically 5 to 10 degrees warmer than in other parts of the Bay, making it an ideal place for beginners. Paddlers can easily access Alameda's Crown Beach with its 2.5 miles of calm sandy beach.
Sausalito: Located on the northern side of the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito offers breathtaking views of the San Francisco skyline, Angel and Alcatraz Islands, and the iconic Bay and Golden Gate Bridges. Paddling in the waters around Sausalito offers a different perspective on these picturesque vistas while spotting seals and vibrant birdlife. Sea Trek's location in Richardson Bay is sheltered from the open ocean and strong currents, which means the waters in and around the bay are generally calmer, making it an ideal spot for both beginners and experienced kayakers.
