The lower valley of the Omo River, which borders Ethiopia, Kenya, and Sudan, remains one of the wildest places in Africa. The river that runs through the dry savannahs is home to abundant flowers and wild fruit trees. Along this exquisite stretch, several tribes live entirely off the Omo River. This 20 x 15-inch painting depicts a nomadic girl. Unfortunately, a dam has been built on the Omo River, and these tribes are slowly dying off.
