2 Watchers

Operate an electric trolley or a diesel locomotive along the beautiful 4 mile round trip track of the Fox River Trolley Museum through the semi-rural Fox River Valley to the John Duerr Forest Preserve. You will be instructed in the use of the whistle, throttle, brakes and overall car operation to make this a truly enjoyable experience. As a student motorman, you will have full control of the trolley, under the supervision and instruction of an experienced crew member.

The Fox River Trolley Museum in South Elgin features a number of trolley and interurban railroad cars that once operated in the Chicago region, some over the Chicago El system, others on longer runs between Chicago and Milwaukee, or Aurora, and Elgin.
