LeCoultre Atmos Clock - The Clock That Runs on Air

The Atmos requires no winding, no battery, and no plug. Sealed within its case is a bellows charged with a gas that expands and contracts with the slightest change in room temperature - a shift of a single degree stores enough energy to run the clock for two days. Jaeger-LeCoultre omitted a seconds hand entirely so that no motion would waste power. At its heart, a golden torsion pendulum turns slowly beneath the dial, two rotations per minute, hypnotic to watch.

This example is presented in the classic gold-plated brass case with beveled glass panels on all four sides, a crisp white chapter ring with applied gold baton markers and Arabic numerals, and an open center revealing the movement at work. Signed LeCoultre on the dial. The seriel number indicates it hasnt had repair in 29 years however its believed to be from 1960. Sold as is and will likely need service to work properly but the wheel does move. Its stunning.
