Renee Marie Norwood was severely injured and fought for her life after being found with both tetanus and a devastating leg injury. Tetanus, a rare condition in dogs caused by bacteria that attacks the nervous system, had left her with painful muscle contractions, a stiff jaw, pinned-back ears, and tight facial muscles. In addition to this, Renee was missing part of her leg-her paw was gone, and the remaining limb had been completely degloved, leaving the bone exposed in a wound that was weeks old. She had likely endured prolonged pain and fear before being rescued.

Veterinarians quickly diagnosed her condition and began treating the tetanus with antibiotics while managing her pain and carefully caring for her wound. Once she was stable enough, Renee underwent a full leg amputation. Despite the severity of her condition, her team remained hopeful that with prompt medical care, she had a chance to recover and finally live without suffering.

Renee Marie Norwood (now Stella) was quickly adopted and is living her very best life now with her forever family.

If you are not local to the St. Louis Area, shipping is available for this item upon request (for an additional cost which will be calculated for each piece individually).
