Title: The Last Window
Artist: Nathan Collier
Medium: Acrylic
Dimensions: 14.5" x 17.5"
Animal Depicted: Shy Guy

Shy Guy came to Stray Rescue after someone shot him with an arrow that became deeply embedded in his shoulder. Thankfully, the arrow missed his vital organs, but he was in tremendous pain and was rushed to an emergency veterinary hospital for immediate surgery. The operation was successful, and while he faced a painful recovery, everyone was relieved he had survived such unimaginable cruelty.

Despite everything he had endured, Shy Guy's gentle spirit quickly began to shine through. He was frightened and had likely never walked on a leash before, so staff took things slowly as he healed. Covered in fleas and ticks when he arrived, he gradually learned to trust, started giving sweet face kisses, and even enjoyed gentle walks. With time, patience, and the support of his rescuers and donors, Shy Guy began his journey toward the safe, loving life he had always deserved.
