In April 2026, this 'ol girl came in so sick and weak. She was completely blind, wouldn't eat and could barely walk. Her x-rays showed she had an obstruction, so we scheduled an emergency surgery here at our shelter. Inside her belly was a whole bunch of rodent bones! Poor girl hadn't had a decent meal in who knows how long!

She did much better than we expected during her surgery (collective sigh of relief) and showed major improvement afterward. She was so happy and full of life!

Once she began healing and blossoming, we realized that she did not let her visual impairments stop her from anything! She was amazing at navigating life and was easily guided by your voice. She loved everyone - men, women, and kids, and had the sweetest, goofiest personality. It was no surprise to us that Miss Elsie quickly found a forever home, and we absolutely love getting updates on her new life full of nothing but love and goodness.

Artwork will NOT be available to pick up before this (unless you are notified otherwise via email). If you are not local to the St. Louis Area, shipping is available for this item upon request (for an additional cost which will be calculated for each piece individually). All winning bidders will receive an email with more information once the auction has closed.
