This experience includes two student registrations for Safety Town (June 8-11, 9 AM-12 PM at Lisa Academy in Fayetteville), where incoming or outgoing kindergartners learn pedestrian, bicycle, and everyday safety through hands-on, engaging activities in a kid-friendly environment.

To keep the learning going at home, this bundle also includes a full set of safety essentials: a bicycle helmet and tail light, youth life vest, mini flashlight, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, fire suppressant, and car escape tools-everything they need to stay safe while exploring, playing, and adventuring all summer long.

It's the perfect combination of education and equipment-giving both kids and parents a little extra peace of mind.

Safety Town Northwest Arkansas is a non-profit organization that is committed to educating children about safety. Our mission is to provide children with the knowledge and practical skills they need to stay safe in a variety of situations. We believe that every child deserves to be safe and we work hard to make that a reality.

Camp curriculum is designed for entering and exiting kindergartners; children born between June 2019 and June 2021 are eligible to attend.

Each day at Safety Town has a different theme and visitors from various community members such as the Fayetteville Police Department, Ron Hale w/Union Pacific, the Fayetteville Fire Department, Big Paws of the Ozarks, Goldfish Swim Academy, and more! Each theme has its own lesson plan, books, videos, and music that help the children learn in a way they can relate to, understand, and most importantly, remember. Role-playing and crafts help reinforce what they are taught in class. Every child is encouraged to learn their address and phone number and will be able to practice calling for help in an emergency.

Everyday we send home a daily summary of our safety lessons so parents will know what we taught the children. We ask them to take the time to reinforce the lessons at home. It is a good idea to demonstrate when possible and not just talk about the lessons. For instance, when you go into a big store, talk about what the child should do if you got separated. Point out who would be a good person to turn to for help.
