Cheryl Derricotte is a San Francisco-based visual artist whose interdisciplinary practice bridges glass, paper, textiles, and installation to explore memory, migration, environmental justice, and social equity. Trained as both an artist and a licensed city planner, she integrates archival research and community storytelling into works that examine the layered histories embedded in place.
Her work is held in the permanent collections of the de Young Museum, the Oakland Museum of California, the Museum of Glass, and the San Francisco Public Library. Among her notable public commissions is Freedom's Threshold, a monumental glass tribute to Harriet Tubman installed Gateway at Millbrae Station in California.
Derricotte is the recipient of the George A. and Eliza Gardner Howard Foundation Fellowship in Objects and Installation Art and has completed residencies at the Corning Museum of Glass, the Museum of Glass, and Kala Art Institute.
