Tonight, we come together to honor what unites us all, our common purpose. Regardless of where we come from, our livelihood, or where we live, we all strive to give our children, our students, the best possible education.

It begins with parents who have worked tirelessly to overcome a myriad of barriers in order to secure an effective and nurturing learning environment for their children.

It includes our teachers - along with the Winston Innovation Lab team and experts in the field - all working together not only to advance our understanding of what works, but to find practical, effective ways to bring science-based research to life in the classroom.

And finally, it is rooted in students who refused to give up on themselves and their own education. Our students truly are amazing. Regardless of past frustrations and disappointments in school, they discover who they are as learners during their time at Winston Prep. They acquire invaluable skills, knowledge, and, importantly, the confidence that allows them not only to succeed at Winston Prep, but to find a path to learning that works for them far beyond graduation.
